Analysis of my photos:
The semitiotics in the mise en scene photo I have constructed is to show an insubordinate, messy and unorganized student who does take pride in both their learing and the presentation of the notes. The setting shows that the table is a messy table. The books are scattered across the table. I think the choice if highlighters are intresting because they are used to separate the useful information from the useless their could’ve been pens and pencils but the highlighters show an attempt to take an interest in their learning. In the photo we can also see that the books are overlapping shows that the student has tried to go through not one but all of their subjects and has slowly lost interest with the subject and we can see that from where each book is placed in a pile. Also the fact that the majority of it of the photo is in low level lighting means that this is something that was revision that didn’t fulfil anything. Also the flash in the corner could represent the student and how bright they are. Notice how the light is not slowly dying and as we look towards the centre of the spark it seems to be glowing.
Emma’s photos:
The semiotics in the mise en scene photo that Emma has constructed is to show a lazy, unorganized student who does not take pride in their studies. The planner shows that the student has attempted to show organisation. The bottle of water seems to be showing that they are a sensible student and is a better alternative than a can of fizzy drink, an energy drink of somesort. Again the use of highlighters show that they have tried to separate the useful information from the information that is not relevant to their studies.
